THE SECRET SAUCE BEHIND SOME OF THE

MOST TALKED ABOUT BRAND MOMENTS

In 2017, I founded a women-led premium ghostwriting agency, WritersBlok.
No handouts. No insider connections.
No formula for how to build this kind of work.

What I did have was a background in journalism and years spent paying close attention to the world around me. I’ve watched the rise and fall of politicians, athletes, founders, and celebrities unfold in real time.

And I often found myself asking the same questions:

How did they get there?
Who advised them?
What were they thinking?
How did their message get so lost?

More often than not, the issue was the inability to communicate thoughtfully while navigating cultural, societal and generational nuances with care. I was left puzzled, but motivated to actually do something about it.

Ghostwriting gave me a seat at the table where these conversations were happening. It put me in rooms where I could challenge the most influential to think differently about the messages and actions they attach to their name, platform, and legacy.

I’m still asking hard questions and that responsibility is something I do not take lightly. But now, I’m in a position to help answer them.

Some Of My Favorite Stories

Never Made It To A Bookshelf

They happened around a kitchen table on a Sunday afternoon. Over good food, loud laughter, and the kind of honest conversation that only happens when everyone feels safe enough to tell the truth.

Growing up, those dinners were non-negotiable. And without knowing it, they were teaching me the most important lesson of my life: the stories we tell shape how people see us and how we see ourselves.

As a child, one of my favorite rituals was flipping through the weekly TV Guide and circling every show I planned to watch. I was fascinated by the anatomy of a well-told story — the motives behind the villain, the psychology of the protagonist, the tension of a perfect plot twist, and the emotions that linger long after the credits roll. On library days, which my dad made sure happened at least once a week, I’d walk through those double doors with my little hand in his, convinced I’d been granted access to something magical.

At the time, I had no idea I was being prepared for this chapter of my life. Today, I listen to stories for a living. And the most consistent thing I’ve found across every client, every industry, and every background is that people are sitting on stories that are worthy of the world’s attention. They just need someone they trust enough to help them tell it.

The world's leaders and doers have my number on speed dial. Why don't you?

When a leader trusts me with their legacy, I don’t take that lightly. I chose this work because I believe women’s stories deserve to be preserved, celebrated, and published. Too many of the voices that have shaped culture, business, and community have been minimized, overlooked, or erased.

PAST CLIENTS

Deborah Desir

Associate Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine

I partnered with WritersBlok to bring greater clarity and intention to how I share my voice in the world, through speeches, public engagements, and professional storytelling. Working with the WritersBlok team was transformative. They offered far more than editorial support; they brought a strategic lens that sharpened what I wanted to say and why it mattered. Their ability to translate ideas into impactful language, with care, precision, and deep respect for the work, made them an invaluable partner.

One year into my role as CEO of Black Girls Code, I brought on WritersBlok to help sharpen our messaging and expand executive visibility. The team immediately tapped into the rhythm of our work. They brought clarity, consistency, and cultural fluency to everything from keynote remarks to social content, making it feel effortless.

BOOKS ARE A BRAND ASSET

Books are not just another product or project. They are a permanent record of everything you’ve built and everything you believe.

If you’ve been sitting on a story or waiting for the right time, this is it. The shelf-life of a well-written book doesn’t expire. It opens doors, builds authority, and creates a legacy that outlasts any campaign, post, or press moment you’ll ever have.

But writing a book isn’t just about writing. It’s about figuring out what to say, why it matters, and how to say it in a way that earns a reader’s trust from the first page to the last.

That’s exactly what me and my team of brilliant women writers do.

Books Are A Smart Business Move

More than a personal accomplishment, a well-positioned book can become one of the most valuable assets in your brand ecosystem.

It can help you:

R

Stay Relevant In A Noisy World

Position yourself as an authority with a clear point of view in your industry or niche. You should be leading conversations, not following them.

R

Build A Long-Term Content Library

One book can fuel months (even years) of content across podcasts, newsletters, social media, keynote speeches, workshops, and media opportunities.

R

Generate Higher Quality Leads

Earn loyalty from your ideal clients and increase your number of business inquiries, discovery calls, partnerships, and community growth.

R

Increase Inbound Opportunities

Authors are more likely to attract keynote invitations, podcast interviews, press features, brand partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
R

Dominate Your Niche

A book builds a body of thought around your expertise. It signals depth, credibility, and mastery.

HOW WE WORK

You’re not investing in writers who simply put pen to paper. What you’re gaining is a team of brand architects, human diaries, and structural thinkers who will guide you from ideation to execution. We help you organize your thinking, simplify complex ideas, navigate sensitive terrain, and sharpen your message.

What We Offer

Books

We support both independent and traditional publishing paths, helping you choose the route that best serves your goals, timeline, and audience. Whether you’re writing a memoir, a business book, or a big idea personal narrative, we handle the strategy, the structure, and every word in between.

Speeches & Media

We write keynotes, remarks, and public statements that sound exactly like you, only sharper. Every speechwriting engagement also includes media training, so you don’t just have the words, you have the confidence to deliver them.

Storytelling Strategy

For the leaders who know they have something to say but aren’t sure how to say it yet. We decode your ideas, identify the narratives worth building, and help you navigate the cultural, generational, and societal nuances that make the difference between a message that lands and one that remains with the audience long after it is spoken.

Nicole Russell-Wharton

Author, Advocate, Non-Profit Executive

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Pauleanna and her incredibly talented team at WritersBlok for editing my latest book project. Pauleanna is not only an expert in the literacy world, she’s also a cheerleader and a visionary who knows how to bring out the best in people who have a story to tell.

Isis Breanna

Marketing Strategist

Working with WritersBlok was and is currently a top-notch experience! You can probably imagine the overwhelming joy I felt when I signed my first ever published book deal. The book proposal/ outline was so well received that a university (along with my publishing company) picked it up and will be selling it in their bookstores!

Jhanel Wilson

Real Estate Investor

If you give presentations, interviews, or anything where you are addressing a lot of people, you need WritersBlok. The speech WritersBlok wrote for me was educational and motivational to say the least. I have also leveraged various parts of the speech in podcast interviews, ebooks, sales calls, courses I teach, Instagram posts, any and everywhere.

OUR COMMITMENT BEYOND THE PAGE

Nearly half of adult Canadians struggle with literacy. In the United States, 54% of adults read below a sixth-grade level.

These aren’t just statistics, they’re a crisis with generational consequences linked to lower civic participation, higher incarceration rates, and economic cycles that are incredibly difficult to break.

We believe that advocating for stories means advocating for the people who need access to them most. That’s why we donate a percentage of our profits each quarter to organizations making a measurable impact on literacy in our communities.

Every book we write is a vote for a more literate world.

Work With WritersBlok

C-suite executives, celebrity entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders trust us with their legacies.

Are you ready to join them?

We’re Hiring…

BUT NOT FOR WRITERS

We’re looking for mission partners.

Creatives who live surrounded by complex storytelling not because it’s their job, but because they genuinely cannot imagine doing anything else. People who understand, as Malcolm Gladwell once said, what 10,000 hours of devoted practice actually does to a craft. If that sounds like you (or someone you know) we’d love to hear from you.
