Wealth Simple and Bumble, Financial Literacy Panel, 2019

:: 2019 was a rockstar year ::

As a woman who started her speaking career in 2012, eight years later, I earned the most bookings, ever! The most requested topics I’ve been asked to share my expertise on includes transitioning into full-time entrepreneurship, how founders can pitch to the media and land press placements and (as shown above) financial literacy.

Prior to quitting my corporate job, I took many necessary steps to emotionally and financially prepare for one of the biggest transitions of my life. I was committed to the process in every way possible and I often use social media as a platform to share what I’ve learned along the way. Taking off my mask and vulnerably speaking my truth about the relationship I have with money has gotten me noticed by many media platforms nationwide from television appearances to podcasts. Quite frankly because I am not ashamed of my history – no matter how messy it is. The hardest part about cleaning it up was relearning and course-correcting the misinformation I’d been taught since I was a child.

When Wealth Simple, Bumble Biz and The Financial Diet asked me to join their conversation to further their mission of empowering women to take control of their finances and careers, I immediately replied, “I’m in!” I’ve been following all three brands for quite some time and it was evident that they want to create a safe space for women to share their ideas and support one another without judgment.

And boy, do I have stories that have attracted whispers and stares. I created this event recap with my videographer that’s a little different than our normal presentation. Expect to learn more insight about career transitions, debt repayment and why your friendships should be mutually beneficial.
